The Second Epistle of John

According to tradition, this epistle was written by John the Evangelist, who is also John the Apostle.
The writing style is very similar to the Gospel of St. John.
John refers to himself as an "elder."
He writes to the "elect lady" which may have been the church at Ephesus.
He pronounces grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and his son Jesus Christ.
He emphasizes love and obedience.
He warns against deceivers who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Such a deceiver is an "antichrist."
